About The Author
Monica Arlene Gold, when not writing fiction, is known by her married name, Monica Wiener.
Monica has taught high school and college English and worked as a newspaper reporter. She has also published poetry and written about teaching Shakespeare.
Her novel, Looking for Shelter, was a finalist in the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition and recieved an Honorable Mention in the Writer’s Digest annual contest.
Monica lives on Long Island with her husband, where they have raised their family.
In her free time, Monica is an avid reader, a year-round swimmer, and a better than decent cook.
A portion of the proceeds of every copy of Looking for Shelter is donated to charity.
